Abstract: The ostrich industry in Egypt is an emerging economic activity, which has spread especially since 1998 on the scale of small and medium farms, some farms and large companies. The study deals with the study of ostriches through an analytical study in economic geography. It deals with several axes including: Ostrich industry in Egypt and ostrich species through the geographical study of ostrich production: in view of the geographical distribution of ostrich farms in ancient Egypt and recent times, Ostrich (...) and hatchery (Incubation), nests and egg laying, and production systems used in farms designated for ostrich. The subject of ostrich farms deals with the types of farms, nutrition, products of ostriches, and the production of meat, leather and feathers of ostriches, along with other products such as fat, eggs, eyes and ostrich oil. The research also deals with diseases affecting the ostriches and treatment and veterinary fortifications. Economic feasibility and the most important problems of ostrich farming in Egypt. (shrink)

GENERAL INTRODUCTION. The plant-lice or Aphids constitute a very important group of insects. They nearly infest all kinds of vegetation, and are present all over the world. They cause serious damage to many economic plants, not only by sucking their juices and rendering them worthless, but also they act as vectors of virus diseases, e.g., Mosiac diseases in lettuce & sugar-cane, and Bunchy top disease in banana. The insects attack all parts of the plant, whether areal or subterranean. They can (...) be, roughly, classified into:- woolly aphids, gall-making aphids, bark-feeding aphids, leaf-feeding aphids and root-feeding aphids. Probably no group of insects has received more attention by economic entomologists than aphids. A great deal of work on their life cycles, biology- and systematic relationships has been carried out by several authors. In Egypt, Willcocks, Theobald and Hall, were the pioneers of these studies. Willcocks (1922), in his survey of Egyptian insect fauna, started collecting aphids since 1907, and paid special attention to the colour of living specimens and their host plants. Theobald published four papers in 1913, 1915, 1918 and 1920 dealing with African Aphididae in which he gave morphological descriptions and drew few illustrations for material collected from Egypt and other regions from Africa. In 1922, he published a paper dealing only with Egyptian Aphididae collected by Willcocks. Previous knowledge of the Aphididae of Egypt was summarised by Hall in a single paper published in 1926 in which he listed 78 species. Recently (1937), Soliman, L.B., added two new species which he related to two new genera. The most important studies which were carried out since that date are those of Soliman, A.A., (1951) who studied the morphological features of different stages of Myzus persicae Sulz.; Hassan, M.S., (1957), who carried out some studies on the morphology and biology of Rhopalosiphum maidis (Fitch); and Kolkaila, A.M., (1953) who studied the morphology of Pentalonia nigronervosa Coq., and its relation to the Bunchy top disease of banana. The work dealt with in this thesis comprises the following three parts:- Part I: The taxonomy of the Aphididae of Egypt. The taxonomic studies of aphids have been nearly completely neglected since the valuable work of Hall (1926), in spite ·of the revolutionary change of the nomenclature of the members of this family. The identification of aphid specimens, in Egypt, is mainly based on the colour of the living specimens, their host plants and scarcely on comparing mounted specimens with the authentic material when available. For the wide variations of host plants of the same species, the colour of aphids is always affected by environmental factors, and in some cases proved to be an inherent actor (Soliman, 1927). This fact together with the lack of authentic material were the motives for carrying out this taxonomic part of the work. With regard to the classification of the higher groups (Keys to sub-families, to tribes and sub-tribes) the system of Eastop (1957) was adopted which was based on that developed by Mordwilko, Börner and Hille Ris Lambers. The writer however has constructed keys for identifying the Egyptian genera and its related species. These keys are mainly based on the description of the alate viviparous females, since these forms were usually collected from the field and since they usually presented a better combination of characters for recognition than other forms. It was also easy to rear alate forms in the laboratory by confining the apterous forms to a part of the host plant in a Petri dish. The keys given here-after are not deviced to show phylogenetic relationships, even though they may sometimes fulfil this view; but they are intended primarily to simplify the identification as much as possible. The specimens used in this study were mainly collected by the writer, either from their host plants or trapped by a light trap. The collection of the Aphid Department of the Ministry of Agriculture was carefully examined together with Hall's authentic material kept in the Ministry. Specimens were sometimes borrowed from the British Museum for comparative purposes. Owing to the lack of the illustrations of many of the Egyptian species and to the inadequate drawings of some others, it was found more convenient to give new illustrations for all the species except few ones of which specimens were unavailable. Redescriptions and additional notes for colour, general shape, relative lengths of the various parts of the body and structural characters are also given for only alate viviparous females of each species and for only four alate males. The illustrations were drawn by the aid of a square eye-piece. The following terms were often used to describe the three main types of aphid cycles (after Eastop,1957). Heterocyclic, is applied. in the case of species migrating from a primary host, on which eggs are laid, to a secondary host on which reproduction is entirely parthenogenetic and viviparous. Holocyclic, is applied in the case of species living on the same host or groups of related hosts and overwintering by eggs. Anholocyclic, is applied in the case of species that do not migrate and that do not produce sexual forms or eggs in the winter. The latter is the most important in Egypt. Part II: A study on aphids infesting Chrysanthemum. Specimens of plants infested with aphids usually represent a wide range of forms of the parasitic species e.g. the apterae, nymphs, and alatae together with the young stages of the apterae. The date of appearance of these forms is of utmost importance since it throws a light on the migration period of the parasite. It was impossible to study the appearance of these forms in all the species of aphids, and thus it was found more convenient to restrict the study to the three species infesting Chrysanthemum horotum, namely Macrosiphoniella sanborni (Gill.), Pleotrichophorus chrysanthemi (Theo.) and Coloradoa rufomaculata (Wilson). A trial to correlate between the weather factors and the dates of appearance of the different forms of those species, is also included. This study deals also with the effect of infestation on the plant itself. Part III: Aphid flight. This part of the work comprises the use of a light trap for collecting the alatae through the period of a whole year. ill collected species were recorded and counted. Besides its value in studying the effect of the factors of temperature, relative humidity, and wind speed on the appearance of alatae of each species, this part was very useful in recording many species as referred to in part I. Cloud computing is considered as a new type of technology, in fact, it is an extension of the information technology's developments which are based on the pooling of resources and infrastructure to provide services depend on using the cloud, in the sense that instead of these services and resources exist on local servers or personal devices, they are gathered in the cloud and be shared on the Internet. This technology has achieved an economic success no one can deny it and (...) resorting to use it has many advantages, today it becomes known and recognized and begins to invade the libraries' area and imposes itself day by day because of the benefits afforded by using applications that have the ability to change the nature of library's services through the web hosting services which can be accessed via any internet connected device. And actually, libraries started using services provided by this technology especially in the field of digitization, indexing, supply, storage and the service of sharing and exchanging information resources in the virtual environment. For this, there is a need to conduct scientific research to find out librarians' trends and motivations about the use of cloud computing in their field of work. Where this research examines the librarians' trends towards the use of cloud computing according to the technology acceptance model (TAM). The study depended on descriptive analytical method using a questionnaire tool, and it has included all the libraries of Mentouri-Constantine1, libraries of university Abdelhamid Mehri-Constantine2, libraries of university Constantine 3, and libraries of Emir Abdelkader university of the Islamic science. And it reached a set of results including: that cloud computing is not used in a very large proportion by librarians, and they haven't a good cognitive level of its services, but in return, an interest was found by them to the cloud as a technology helps the office work implementation and the performance efficiency lifting and appreciates library services.
